The Claddagh
Ring Experience Private

Step into the story of Galway’s most iconic symbol, where love, loyalty, and friendship are woven into the city’s maritime past.

On this guided walk, you’ll journey from Galway’s medieval heart to the old fishing village of the Claddagh, tracing the places where the famous ring was born. Along the way, discover well-preserved landmarks, winding streets, and the waterfront landscape where river and ocean meet on the Wild Atlantic Way.

You’ll hear how the Claddagh once had its own king, customs, and boats, and how a simple ring became a symbol carried across the world. We’ll pause for a local coffee, and you’ll have the option to choose your own Claddagh ring, a small piece of Galway to take with you.

So happy we went on this tour!

What a marvelous tour, and Candela is a captivating and delightful guide. We visited places we had not visited, and learned many, many details about Galway we had not known, as well as fascinating legends of Celtic mythology. If you are even just curious about the Celtic roots of Galway in Ireland and are looking for a tour with great craic, Candela’s tour is a must!

Galway Celtic Mythology Tour

Candela was awesome. We learned a lot and got to see parts of the city that weren’t on our radar previously. The history and mythology of the city was very entertaining and interesting. Activity and restaurant recommendations were also extremely helpful.

A Galway Must!

Candela was super friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. It was the first thing I did during my time in Galway and it set a wonderful tone for the rest of the trip. Beyond the Mythology she also told us about the history of the city and provided wonderful recommendations of things to do while in town. I would highly recommend you booking with her ASAP.
