Welcome to Explore Galway with Candela. By booking a tour, purchasing a keepsake, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Information

Explore Galway with Candela provides guided walking tours and related cultural experiences in Galway and County Galway, Ireland. Some experiences may include optional food/drink tastings or the opportunity to purchase local items (e.g., a Claddagh ring), depending on the product booked.

These Terms apply to all bookings made directly with us and through our authorised partners.

By booking, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age, or that a parent/guardian is booking on behalf of, or has consented for, participants under 18.

2. Booking & Payment

• All tours must be booked in advance via our website or authorised partners.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Prices are stated in Euro (€) and include VAT where applicable.
• Your booking is confirmed once payment is received and you receive a confirmation email/booking confirmation from us or our authorised partner.

3. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Customer cancellations (direct bookings)

• Scheduled (public) tours: Full refund if you cancel 48 hours or more before the tour start time.

• Private tours: Full refund if you cancel 7 days or more before the tour start time, unless “trip protection” (or an equivalent add-on offered at checkout) has been purchased (where available).

• Late cancellations:

• For scheduled tours, no refund if cancelled less than 48 hours before start time.

• For private tours, no refund if cancelled less than 7 days before start time.

• Where available, Trip Protection (or an equivalent add-on offered at checkout) may allow a refund/credit according to its specific terms.

• No-shows: No-shows are charged the full price. If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place with prior notice and our approval.

 

Customer changes (date/time)

If you need to move your booking, contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may require a price adjustment if the new tour differs in price.

 

Our cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (for example: extreme weather, safety concerns, venue closure, public events impacting routes, or guide illness).

If we cancel a tour, you may choose either:

• a full refund, or
• a rescheduled tour (subject to availability).

4. Keepsakes

Our Galway Keepsakes must be paid in advance and given on the tour. Shoul you cancel a booking that is no refundable but includes keepsakes, you will be refunded for the items

5. Participation, Accessibility & Safety

• Health & mobility: Our tours involve walking outdoors and may include uneven surfaces, cobblestones, steps, and changing weather. You are responsible for ensuring you are physically able to participate.
• Weather: Tours generally operate rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for Irish weather.
• Allergies & dietary requirements: If your tour includes food/drink, you must inform us of any allergies, dietary needs, or access requirements at the time of booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee all requirements can be met, particularly where third-party venues are involved.
• Alcohol: Where alcohol is included or offered, participants must be 18+ and may be asked to show valid photo ID. We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol in line with responsible service practices.

6. Optional Purchases & Third-Party Providers

Some tours may include optional purchases or stops at third-party venues. Any purchase you choose to make is a transaction between you and the third party. We are not responsible for third-party products, services, opening hours, or changes to availability.

7. Liability

• Participation is at your own risk. We accept no liability for any illness, injury, loss, or damage to personal property sustained during a tour, except where caused by our negligence.
• We are not liable for delays, changes, or disruptions arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

8. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, branding, and logos, is the property of Explore Galway with Candela (or used with permission) and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written consent.

We make every effort to keep the website information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee completeness or that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
